Willie Joel Clayton, Sr. was born January 13, 1954 in Sparta, Georgia to the parents of Willie Mae Clayton and the late Thomas E. Clayton, Sr., on September 10, 2016. Early Saturday morning, Jesus called upon Willie, and said, “Suffer no more - come onto Me to rest”.

Willie known to many as “Bro” joined St. Galilee Baptist Church at an early age.  He attended primary and secondary school in Hancock County.  Also, he served in The United States Army for eight years.  He withheld a passion for fishing, cooking on the grill, and being the life of the party with his dance grooves.

He is preceded in death by his brother Anthony Clayton.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories to a loving mother, Willie Mae Meminger of Milledgeville, GA; a devoted daughter, Rena (Xavier) Ray of Snellville, GA; one son, Willie Clayton, Jr. of Snellville, GA; a loving friend, Lillian Howard of Conyers, GA; three   sisters, Vanessa (Raymond) Davis and Benita C. Waller both of    Milledgeville, GA; Viola (William) Huff of Sparta, GA; three brothers, Thomas (Linda) Clayton of Sparta, GA, Reggie Meminger (Demetra) and Leon Tucker (Cheryl) both of Milledgeville, GA; six grandchildren, Kiasia, Nakiya, Kierra, Keshawn, Deshon, and Keenen; one uncle, five aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
