Mr. William Lee Evans of Stockbridge, Georgia was born February 16, 1959, in Warrenton, Georgia to the late Mr. Judge Jr and Mrs. Ruthie Mae Evans. God called him from labor to rest peacefully on July 9, 2022, in the presence of his wife and family at Piedmont Henry Hospital.

William, five of nine children, gave his life at an early age to Christ and joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Warren County Alumni Class of 1978. He later join the United States Army in 1979 where he served proudly and was honorably discharged in 1983. He then moved to Atlanta, Georgia and began working with RACO General Contractors serving proudly for 40years until his death. William, while residing in Atlanta, was joined in Holy Matrimony with Sherry Evans on July 25, 1987, and from this union were three of his prize possessions his children, Michael, Kasheia, and William Jr.
William was a humble, loving, and dedicated son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He enjoyed in his lesiure: fishing, bowling, playing cards, watching sports and most of all enjoying his family and grandchildren.
William was preceeded in death by his parents, two brother’s-Judge Warren and Norman Evans, one sister Georgia Nunnally, a son Gaston DeAundre Johnson (Red), and a brother-in-law Melvin Beals.
He leaves to cherish his contagious smile and fondest memories: a loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Sherry Evans, three children: oldest son, Michael(Brianna)Evans, daughter, Kasheia(Deondre)Baxter, and baby boy William(Morgan)Evans, Jr.; five grandchildren: Zariyah and Zamya Baxter, Aubree, William III, and Michael Evans Jr.; one brother, Morris(Burnestene) Evans and four sisters; Priscilla(Norriston) Delvallie, Marie Evans, Geraldine(Willie) Norman, and Madeline Evans, all of Warrenton; a mother-in-law Patrica Beals; two sisters-in-law: Lashondral Johnson and Shameka Beals; four brothers-in-law: Wilbert Johnson, Johnny(Suzanne) Johnson, Hamilton(Delilah) Johnson, all of Atlanta, Ga and Ted Nunnally of Warrenton, Ga.; five aunts: Jessie Moore and Rebie Fitzgerald of Miami, Florida, Edith Amerson of Lake City, Florida, Sunbeam Wilson and Mary Thomas of Warrenton, Ga; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and classmates.
