The journey for Traci Denise Sears began on December 13, 1964, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the late Larry Clinton Sears and JoAnn Anderson Sears. She was third of five children. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Pompano Beach, Florida. After moving to Georgia, she regularly attended and participated in services at the Greenwood Baptist Church in Norwood, Georgia, which was her family’s home church.
Sharing her passion of serving the Lord, in later years she joined the Ministry of Faith Christian Center of Fellowship of Warrenton, Georgia. She faithfully worked in her church as well as other churches.
She was a graduate of Blanche Ely High School of Pompano Beach, Florida. She was employed by the Center of Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, from where she later retired.
Preceding her in death are her three siblings, Eric Sears, Chanda Sears Brown, and Larry Sears, Jr.; grandparents, Isiah and Lula Jackson and James and Dorothy Walker.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her daughter, Jasmine Terrell (Travis Terrell) of Atlanta, GA; three grandsons, Travis Terrell, Jr., Tavarre Terrell, and Tahj Terrell; mother, JoAnn Sears of Norwood, GA; surviving sisters, Ava Sears of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and Lynette Ellison (Jeffery) of St. Lucie County, FL; Traci also leaves aunties, Barbara Sinkfield and LaVonda Shanks, both of Norwood, GA; uncles, Gregory Jackson of Norwood, GA, Dwayne Jackson (Chris) of Oceanside, CA, and Isiah Jackson III (Linda) of Shreveport, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
