Tommie fought a good fight, he kept the faith until the day that he was called home.
Tommie Lee Stephens was born on April 2,1945 to the late Mr. James Stephens, Sr. and Mrs. Aretha Cooper Stephens in Hancock County.
Tommie, affectionately known as "Doug" moved to New York early in life where he worked and devoted 40 years to Hudson Valley Apple Farm before returning home to his birthplace in 2007.
Tommie was a loving father, brother, uncle and grandfather. Tommie loved fishing, hunting, and cooking. He was a humble and sweet spirit that was loved by all.
His memory will forever be cherished by his two sons Tamari Stephens (Nohemi) and Dwayne Stephens (Kerri). Three sisters Gloria Stephens, Sharon Ransom (Dwight), and Marguerite Harper. Three grandkids Santana Stephens, Hunter Stephens, and Jayce Stephens. One Aunt Mrs. Sletta Bell Sanford. And a host of nieces, nephews and devoted friends and family.
