Thomas Frank Blount was born on February 22, 1948, in Sparta Georgia, to the late Anna Lou Glover and the late Frank Blount.
On Thursday, June 18, 2020 our beloved Thomas got that delicate whisper from God saying, “Come on home, job well done my Son”. Thomas, as he was so affectionately called, was preceded in death by his parents, Anna Lou Glover and Frank Blount, stepfather, J.C Glover, sisters, Annie Lee Macklin and Cornelia Whitehead, brother, David Whitehead and stepbrother, Otis Glover.
Thomas lifelong passion was being a sheriff. He wore his outfit occasionally, but he always carried his handcuffs and wore his pins faithfully every day.
He spent most of his early years at the Hancock County Service Center, in Sparta Georgia and then later attending the Washington County Service Center of Sandersville Georgia. His last days were spent at Kingdom Care, in Sparta Georgia, where he enjoyed doing various activities.
His precious memories will always be cherished in the hearts of his three sisters, Ms. Eva M. Blount, Sparta Georgia, Alfreda Gilbert, Kempner, Texas, and Carolyn Whitehead, Macon, Georgia; seven brothers, Roy Warren, Atlanta Georgia, Jesse Glover III, Columbia, South Carolina, Jimmy Glover, Sparta Georgia, Roosevelt Glover, Russell Blount, Terry Blount all of Macon Georgia and Clifford Blount, San Diego, California; three sisters-in-law, Druerlyn Warren, Atlanta, Georgia, Sabrina Glover and Latrece Blount both of Macon, Georgia; one brother-in-law, Eddie C. Gilbert of Kempner, Texas, a special friend, Bernice Kitchen and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
