Shanta Denise Chatman was born December 24, 1984 in Eatonton, GA. She was the middle child of three children born to Mattie Reaves and Linzie Chatman.

Neicy, as she was affectionately known, was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and had the most loving personality to everyone she encountered. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her children and others’ children. She loved to dance and sing karaoke. She was an alumni of Hancock Central High School, where she graduated with the Class of 2003. She was a faithful employee of United States Postal Service, where she diligently worked until her health failed. She was a member of Ebenezer SDA Church in Milledgeville, GA.

Our Heavenly Father called his angel (Neicy) home on November 29, 2016. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Percy Roberson Sr.; grandmother, Estella Chatman; grandfathers, Perry Watkins III, Achristopher “Bo” Chatman, her aunts Virginia Wilson and Anna Laura Kendrick; uncle, Percy Roberson Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: children, Talijah Frazier, Amiyah Frazier, and Montravius Chatman of Sparta, GA; parents, Mattie (Jessie) Reaves of Sparta, GA, Linzie (Lillie) Chatman of Milledgeville, GA; sisters, LaTasha Chatman of Dublin, GA, Alynzia Chatman of Sparta, GA; step-sister, Angela (Lennie) Miles of Milledgeville, GA, Sylvia Williams, Sparta, GA; step-brothers, Michael (Areanesha) Vann, Milledgeville, GA, Marcus Vann, Jessie (Latasha) Reaves Jr.; nephews, Amarion Shivers, Raymier Vann, Keontay Miles; nieces, Ramiya Vann, Makayla Miles; great-grandparent, Magnolia Roberson; grandmother, Lillie Julia Watkins; a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends. Special friends, Tiffany Gross, Detoya Palmer, and Kimberly Simmons.
