Sarah (Reynolds) Spencer

Sarah Reynolds Spencer, better known as “Granny,” was born on March 13, 1943, in Sparta, Georgia, to the parentage of the late James Reynolds and Cora Hunt-Reynolds. She dedicated her life to Christ at an early age, confessing to her Lord and Savior at St. James Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Warthen, Georgia, where she remained a member until the present day.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Reverend Johnny “Clauide” JC Reynolds.

Sarah was called home to be with our Savior on Thursday, December 1, 2022. She was truly loved and will be dearly missed by: her daughter, Joanne Spencer Reynolds of Sparta, Georgia; son, Dale Spencer and wife Harriett Spencer of Gadsden, Alabama; sister, Dorothy Wiley of Aiken, South Carolina; three brothers, Robert Reynolds and wife Christine Reynolds of Lithonia, Georgia, Willie Fred Reynolds of Atlanta, Georgia, and Kenneth Reynolds of Aiken, South Carolina; grandchildren, Sharqueta and Kevin Ruff, Patrick and Crystal Reynolds, Lakeshia and Calvin Warren of Sparta, Georgia, and Tenita and Cishon Little of Alaska; son-in-law, Marvin Reynolds; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, Kingston Morris; godsister, Mrs. Brenda Griffin; goddaughter, Valerie Butts; goddaughter and godson, Fasial and Vasantha Sultan; godchildren, Umar, Mahnoor, Ayesha, and Azan Sultan; and a host of nieces, nephews, devoted cousins, and friends.
