Rufus C Jackson was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Thomas Jackson, Sr. and Mrs. Bessie Jackson Walker on January 7, 1951, in Sparta, Georgia. Rufus was educated in Hancock County Public School System and graduated in 1969. He found Christ at an early age. God reclaimed his spirit on January 29, 2019
Rufus C was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He served in The United States Army as a chef and The National Guard. He loved to cook, dance, laugh, have fun and spend time with family and friends. There was never a dull moment when he was around.
Rufus C was preceded in death by his brother Bobby Lee Jackson, and Mother-in-law, Catherine Hatcher.
Rufus C leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife, Mrs. Delois Hatcher Jackson; two sons, Damien (Monica) Jackson and Paul Lewis; two step-sons, Jason (Alishia) Glover, Jimauis Glover; a father-in-law, Jesse Hatcher Sr.; one sister, Diane (Ricky) Scott; five brothers, Thomas (Luerine) Jackson Jr., L.C (Doris) Jackson, Dennis (Mattie) Jackson, Jerry Jackson, Adam (Silvia) Jackson, Sr.; three sister-in-laws, Stephanie Hill, Patricia Chatman, and Rebecca Cummings; three brothers-in-law, Jesse (Geraldine) Hatcher, Jr., Roy (Beretta) Hatcher, and Willie (Susanne) Hatcher; four grandchildren, India Jackson, Kalesha (Lloyd) Smith, Armani Jackson, Damien Jackson Jr.; one great-grandchild, Liam Smith; two step-grandchildren, Jace Glover, Jaxsyn Glover; three devoted friends, Ronnie Miller; Michael Morris Sr.; Stanley Culver, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
