Nina Smith Johnson

The life of a beautiful, kind hearted person, Ms. Nina Smith–Johnson answered the call of God and went to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 10, 2018. Nina was a generous, sweet and caring individual, who loved everyone she encountered. Her beautiful smile was adored by all who knew her.

Ms. Nina Smith–Johnson was born on December 16, 1960 to the parentage of the late Mr. Adolph Smith Sr. and Ms. Emmalean Hawkins–Smith.

She was a faithful member of the Second Mineral Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Nina served in various ministries, which included the Ushers Ministry, SMS Women’s Ministry, Missionary Ministry, Golden Girls Ministry, and SMS Nursing Home Ministry, and always was willing to serve wherever needed.

Nina was employed by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department for over eight years during her tenure there; she impacted many of her colleagues and also the incarcerated individual by teaching bible study and showing the love of Christ.

She was preceded in death by one sister Earnestine Casar and her parents.

Her memories will be forever cherished by her devoted daughters  Quintina Smith, North Augusta, S.C. and Sabrina Marion (Rev. Willie Marion), Grovetown, GA; a step-daughter Cassandra Johnson, Atlanta, GA; two sisters, Shirley Franklin (Jimmie), Warrenton, GA, and Linda Tookes, Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Willie Hawkins, Atlanta, GA, Adolph Smith, Jr. and Jimmy Lee Smith both of Warrenton, GA; five loving grandchildren Niyah, Nana, Daleaha, Dalayla, and Josiah and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and loving church family a devoted uncle, auntie Pastor Robert and Frist lady Evelyn Smith.
