Virginia Brinkley Neal departed her life on August 24, 2023, at her home in Cherryville, North Carolina, with her children at her side.
She was born August 23, 1953, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ed (Monk) and Maude Brinkley of Norwood, Georgia. Virginia attended school in Atlanta, Georgia, and later graduated from Warren County High School in 1971. She was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church and was a member of the choir. Virginia was an outgoing, caring, and loving individual who never met a stranger and was loved by all she came in contact with.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Betty Wright of Detroit, MI; a brother, Sampson Brinkley; two grandchildren, Timmeceyah Lucas and Devin Bundrage; and a nephew, Antonio Tanksley of Warrenton, GA.
She leaves to cherish so many great memories with her two kids, Lenton D. Collins of Huntersville, NC, and Masander D. Bundrage of Cherryville, NC; a daughter-in-law, Catrina Collins of Huntersville; a son-in-law, Kinta Bundrage of Cherryville, NC; two sisters, Hazel Lammie of Rockdale, GA, and Nettie Owens of Jacksonville, NC; a brother-in-law, Clarence Lammie of Rockdale, GA; three grandchildren, Irvin Nicely and Kintaveyah Bundrage, both of Cherryville, NC, and Cedric Collins of Huntersville, NC; one great grandson, Ashton Grissom of Warrenton, GA; five nieces, Linda and Glenda Wright, both of Detroit, MI, Audra (James) Nelson of Sumter, SC, Jennifer Jones of Grovetown, GA, and Esther (Matt) Pinner of Suffolk, VA; two nephews, Michael (Katie) Owens of Jacksonville, NC, and Mario Tanksley of Camak, GA; one goddaughter, Felicia Reed of Warrenton, GA; two devoted god sisters, Gloria and Annie Mae Yarbough, both of Norwood, GA; one special cousin, Evelyn Mathis she considered a sister of Warrenton, GA; two devoted friends, Majorie Hubbard of Lancaster, SC, and Glenda Curry of Detroit, MI; and a host of great-nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
