Rubie Nell Kitchens departed this life on September 28, 2020, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Rubie Nell was born on March 18, 1949, to the late Leandres and Lena Mae Kitchens. She was educated in the Hancock County School system and graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1967.
At an early age, she joined Trinity C.M.E. Church, where she was a member of the Senior Choir and lead many songs such as “Grace,” “Just for Me,” “This Morning When I Rose,” and “Give Me Two Wings.”
She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Lashangra (Patrick) Lewis; one grandson, Derian Lewis; six sisters, Lillie Reynolds, Mary Alice Spencer, Mary Ruth (Charlie) Kendrick, Virginia Clayton, and Malinda Kitchens, all of Sparta, Georgia, and Josephine (William) Phelps of Milledgeville, Georgia; brother-in-law, Albert Lawson; one aunt, Luvenia Gray of Augusta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
