On December 31, 2025, God sent His angels to call Sister Mary home.
Mary was born to the late Forest Watson, Sr. and Annie Grier. At an early age, she joined Millrock Baptist Church, where she faithfully served for many years as Choir President and Missionary President. Mrs. Mary loved baking cakes and enjoyed looking at her cowboy pictures. She truly embodied the virtues of a Proverbs 31 woman.
She was united in holy matrimony to Clinton Rhodes, Sr. in 1952, and to this union, six children were born.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Rhodes, Sr; her mother, Annie Grier; sisters, Martha Rose, Dorothy Dixon, Mamie Mumford, and Mary Lynn Moses; and brothers, Frank Watson, Robert Watson, Charlie Watson, Forest Watson, Robert Pitts, Frank Grier, and Samuel Watson.
Cherished memories are left with those who loved her most and will remain in our hearts forever: her children, Delores Cartledge, Angela Rhodes, Clinton (Joyce) Rhodes III, Jerome (Eve) Rhodes, Alfred Rhodes, Franklin (Rebecca) Rhodes, Debra Simmons, and Doris (Larry) Medlock; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
We extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends during this time of sorrow.
Service entrusted to Dawson’s Mortuary ~ 98 Hopgood Street Warrenton, Georgia.
