A private service for immediate family will be held to celebrate the life of Ms. Marian Tucker, of Sparta, GA.
Ms. Marian Tucker of Thomson, Georgia formerly of Sparta, GA., entered into eternal rest on April 15, 2020.
Marian Tucker affectionally known as “Nit” was born June 20,1940 in Sparta, Ga. to the late Sallie and Steve Tucker. She was called home on April 15, 2020.
Nit was a loving, caring and fun person. While living in Mayfield and Springfield her home was one of the favorite places to hangout. For many years she was a neighborhood mom and babysitter for many family and community kids. And if you ever met Nit she was sure to give you a nickname that we all learned to answer to. Her favorite pass time was cleaning, washing clothes, listening to music, trying to dance and cooking. “She made the best corn bread.” Though she met with some challenges and obstacles in her life she did not let it get her down. She would often tell stories of how God had blessed and protected her. Thru it all she learned how to lean and depend on God whom she accepted in her life at an early age and later became a member of the Apostolic Faith Church in Sparta “Springfield” Ga.
Nit entered the gates of heaven and reunited her beloved son Donald (Faith) Tucker and Life Long Significant Other Otis “Preacher Man” Swain whom she both loved dearly.
In Addition, she reunited with sisters Lucille (Ernest) Butts, Sara (Willie C) Howard, Leola Tucker, Mary Lee Tucker, and brothers Arthur B. Tucker, Jesse Tucker, Willie B (Rosa Lee) Tucker, a special nephew James Tucker, and best friend Minnie Lee Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory her favorite and only living sister Rosa Mae “Bad” Tucker, her sons Michael (Grace) Tucker of Thompson Ga., Alton (Liz)Tucker of Thompson Ga, Addison (Celethia)Tucker of Sparta Ga, Shaun (Michelle)Tucker of Indianapolis IN, and Otis(Candace) Tucker of Indianapolis IN. and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
