Ms. Diane Elaine Jones-Blue was born to the late Mrs. Adelaide B. Jones of Warrenton, Georgia, and the late Mr. Willie Edward Jones of Rochester, New York, on April 21, 1949, in Warrenton, Georgia. She received her formal education in Georgia as well as the New York public school system. She worked as a certified nurse at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, and she was a skilled operator at a factory in Warrenton, Georgia. She was also a member of Union Baptist Church.
She will be remembered as an exciting and loving mom, grandmother, and aunt, she enjoyed her family, her friendships, and mentoring everyone. She was passionate about many things and was multi-talented. All her meals were made with love, everyone loved her cooking. Helping others was a gift that she gave to many, if you needed somewhere safe to lay your head the door was always open.
Children: Two daughters, Celethia (Addison) Jones-Tucker of Sparta, Georgia; and Vickie Blue of Warrenton, Georgia; four sons, Marvell (Sabra) Jones of Cibolo, Texas; Charles Blue of Warthen, Georgia; Corey (Surbrena) Blue of Sandersville, Georgia; and Jonathan Worrell of Dearing, Georgia Grandkids: Twenty-two Great-Grandkids: Fourteen Great-Great-Grandkids: Four Siblings: Nine sisters, Gary (Rufus) Evans of Warrenton, Georgia; Angie Dawson of Warrenton, Georgia; Phyllis Burnett of Thomson, Georgia; Gwen Griffin of Rochester, New York; Sandra Jones of Rochester, New York; Tammy Davis of Twins Burgh, Ohio; and the late Sherily Burnett, Debra Jones, and Renae Wilder. Seven brothers, Kenneth Jones of Tampa, Florida; Ira (Brenda) Burnett, Durrane (Gladys) Britt, Darrel Roberts, Kim Roberts, all of Warrenton, Georgia; and the late Carl Turner and Eddie Howard.
Aunties: Brenda Johnson of Warrenton, Georgia; and the late Dorothy Cowart.
Uncles: Rudolph Jones of Rochester, New York; Tyrone Brooks of Atlanta, Georgia; Jerome (Phyllis) Brooks of Grovetown, Georgia.
