Ms. Betty Beausejour passed away peacefully at Piedmont Summerville Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, on August 9, 2025, at the age of 73. She was the daughter of the late Hosie and Vinia Robertson of Warrenton, Georgia. At a young age, Betty left home to train at Job Corps where she met her husband, the late Brunel (Bobby) Beausejour in Brooklyn, New York. They were united in holy matrimony and blessed with four children, Angela (Anthony) Beausejour- Spivey, Bernard (Kesha) Beausejour, Aquanette Beausejour, and Brantavius Beausejour.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, eight grandchildren, Trevarius Perry, Quaddarius Beausejour, Adontae Spivey, Alexandria Spivey, Jailee Beausejour, Ze’Nari Beausejour, Zyden Beausejour, Zariyah Beausejour, and Goddaughter, Shangriah (Donte) Roberts. She also leaves behind brothers, S.T. Robertson (Sarah), Freddie Robertson (Augusta, Georgia), Sylvester Robertson (Darlene) (Warrenton, Georgia), Felton Hatcher (Thomson, Georgia), and Tony Hatcher (Dorothy) (Fayetteville, North Carolina); sisters, Debra Hatcher, Mary Wilcher, Caldonia Reynolds (Warrenton, Georgia), Bobby Jean (Leon) Lazenby (Thomson, Georgia); sister-in-law, Brenda Robertson, Gladys Robertson (Warrenton, Georgia); devoted friend, Sylester Young (Trevose Pennsylvania); and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie Robertson, Uni C. Robertson, and Hosie Robertson, Jr.
She led a life of service to her family and community by using her talent and blessed hands to prepare meals for all occasions. Many will remember her famous chocolate cake, corn bread dressing, meatballs, and other dishes she could whip together in the spur of a moment. Mama’s house always had food, and she enjoyed seeing people eat. With wisdom beyond education and heart of an angel, Betty has touched generations, and her spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
We extend our deepest condolences to her family and friends and ask that you keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.
Service entrusted to Dawson’s Mortuary ~ 98 Hopgood Street Warrenton, Georgia.
