Mrs. Pamela Denise Hudgeon Lester

“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. She looks well to the ways of her household, and eats not the bread of idleness. Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praise her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excelled them all. His deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.” (Proverbs 31:10, 27-31)

Pamela Denise Hudgeon Lester was born September 3, 1968, to Eddie B. and Ruby Pearl Bell Hudgeon at Eugene Talmadge Hospital in Augusta, GA. She began her journey home on July 8, 2020, at her residence in Warrenton, GA.

On March 21, 1996, she married the love of her life, Maurice Lester. They were blessed with two children, Mia Tyneshis Lester and Marquavious Demonte Lester.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Eddie B. and Ruby Pearl Hudgeon, and one sister, (infant) Fonda Tyobe Hudgeon.

Pam had a servant’s heart. She served faithfully in her church and community. She was a problem solver and often took on multiple tasks in the church and community. She served faithfully at Believer’s Church of the Glory Ministries, holding many positions: Youth Coordinator, assisting the usher board whenever needed, dance team advisor, kitchen staff assistant, and Financial Secretary. She loved the Lord, her family, her church, and her community.

She graduated from Warren County High School in May of 1986. She was a social butterfly and loved all people. She was the the administrative assistance for Quality of Life Association from 1991 to 1999. She served as county clerk for Warren County from 1999 until she started her journey home.

Pam will be lovingly remembered through the halls of the Warren County School system, where she impacted the lives of so many, as she volunteered to work the concession stands at the games, assisted the prom, coronation, homecoming committees, chaperoned school trips and activities, as well as led and supported multiple fund raiser events. In appreciation, she was recognized as Volunteer of the Year for her many years of selfless service.

Her memories will live on in the lives of: her loving and devoted husband, Maurice Lester; daughter, Mia Tyneshis Lester of Warrenton, GA; son, Marquavious Demonte (Nicole) Lester of  Warrenton, GA; two sisters, Deloris (Willie) White of Hephzibah, GA, and Shella Marie Hudgeon Wilson of Warrenton GA; two brothers, Eddie LaShawn (Angee) Hudgeon ofThomson, GA, and Kelly (Estelle) Mathis of Ellenwood, GA; father and motherin-law, Terry and Doretha Lester Wheeler of Norwood, GA; sister-in-law, Anna (George) Williams of Lithonia, GA; brother-in-law, Leon (Takevier) Wheeler of Norwood, GA; three grandchildren, Tay’kwon Bell, Quavion Lester, and Ta’Mia Lester; grandfather-in-law, Jimmy Lester of Norwood, GA; 13 aunts, 11 uncles; six nieces; six nephews, two special friends, Freda Bradshaw and Cindy (Gwanda) Harris; and a host of cousins, friends, and other loved ones who were very dear to heart.

The family will host a private celebration of life with invited guests only.
