Welcome to the memorial page for

Mrs. Burnestine Evans

September 5, 1957 ~ August 18, 2017 (age 59) 59 Years Old

Burnestine Wilson Evans, affectionately known as Bunny, was born on September 5, 1957 to Sunbeam Wilson and the late Charlie Lee Wilson in Warrenton, Georgia.  She entered rest on August 18, 2017 after battling a long sickness at Doctor’s Hospital.

Burnestine was educated in the Warren County School System and graduated in 1977.  She married Jimmy Evans on August 13, 1977.  This union was blessed with two children.

Having joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church at an early age, Burnestine served on the Ushers Ministry until her health failed.  Burnestine was a hard and dedicated worker and last worked at Shaw Industries in Thomson, Georgia.  Loving and kind, Burnestine touched the hearts of many.  She was a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a friend; but most of all, she was a compassionate and faithful woman who believed in God and family.

Her father, Charlie Lee Wilson, and two siblings, Yvonne Kendricks and Gerald Wilson, preceded her in death.

To cherish her memories, she leaves her husband, Jimmy Evans; her mother, Sunbeam Wilson; two children, Twanda Evans-Green and Shequita Evans; a grandson, Chase Hudson; a godson, Matorrie Bell, Jr.; four sisters and four brothers, Eileen Willis (Michael), Debra Alexander (Johnny), June Wilson, Valerie Moss (Alfornia), Charlie C. Wilson, Henry Wilson (Mary) and Billy Walker all of Warrenton, Georgia; and Allen Wilson (Sakeenah) of Atlanta, Georgia; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Burnestine fought a good fight.  She finished her course and she kept the faith!
