Obituary Mr. Willie Ben Burley, affectionately known as Ben, was born on December 28, 1953, to the late Henry and Daisy Burley. On September 5, 2020, God called him home.
Ben enjoyed fishing, cooking, and fixing things. He was known for making some of the best barbecue you’d ever want to taste! He was the neighborhood maintenance man and landscaper. He was known for his wonderful carpentry work. He was a member of Andrew Chapel CME.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Daisy Burley, and brothers, Henry Lee Burley, Charlie Lee Burley, Nathaniel Burley, Willie Lawrence Burley, and Eddie Lewis Lowe.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving wife of six years, Mary Burley of Norwood, Georgia; four daughters, Tyquesha Burley, Madreka Burley, Monique Burley, all of Atlanta, Georgia, and Diane (William) Dorsey of Crawfordville, Georgia; three sons, MeCarrus Burley, Jarvis Burley of Atlanta, Georgia, and Greg Burley of Augusta, Georgia; He gained 4 children through marriage, Cassandra (Jesse) Hanson, Lee Ivey, Hillary (Charles) Schofield, and Frank (Jasmine) Ivey; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a special cousin/brother, Johnny (Anne) Johnson; four sister, Barbara Lowe of Washington, Georgia, Mary Cody of Atlanta, Georgia,Annie Byrd and Elizabeth Burley of Norwood, Georgia; a special cousin Gurry Hatcher and a host of relatives and friends.
