Mr. Stephen Walker Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Stephen Eugene Walker, of Sparta, Georgia who left this world at the age of 49. Born on November 21, 1975, Stephen dedicated his life to Christ at an early age, finding inspiration in the uplifting gospel music of Yolanda Adams, particularly her song “The Battle is the Lord’s.

“For over 15 years, Stephen worked as a truck driver, embracing his passion for traveling from state to state. He loved the freedom of the open road and was rarely seen without his beloved headphones, often lost in music. A man of many talents, Stephen had a knack for hands-on repairs and could fix just about anything—his intelligence and resourcefulness were truly remarkable.

Stephen’s love for his family was unparalleled. He held a special bond with his mother, Annie Ruth, and his father, Joseph Kemp. He cherished his sisters, nieces, and nephews, affectionately calling his oldest sister his “mean sister, Lol.” He had one daughter, Nasieree Gardner, from New York. His vibrant personality made a lasting impact on those around him, and he will be remembered for the joy and warmth he brought to their lives. Stephen was educated from Hancock County School System as a proud member of the Class of 1995 and was employed for many years at Werner Brothers Trucking.

Stephen Eugene Walker is survived by his devoted parents, Annie Ruth and Joseph Kemp; He is also survived by his beloved daughter, Nasieree Gardner of Brooklyn, New York, (I’ll miss seeing your messages pop up in my inbox). four loving sisters: Teresa (Lumpkin) Glenn III, Willie Mae Walker (Bernard Reynolds), Tawanda (Tonjee) Mayweather, and his cherished twin sister, Stephanie Christine Walker. . On his biological father’s side, Stephen is survived by Willie John Daniels; one sister, Chiquita Daniels; and two brothers, Travis Daniels and Willie John Daniels, Jr., all of Macon, Georgia. He also leaves to cherish his memory five aunts: Lois (Willie) Macklin, Ruby (Ezelle) Bundrage, Bernice Kitchens, Willie Alma Kitchens, and Lois Kemp; and one uncle, Willie (Linda) Kitchens. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends also mourn his loss.

In loving memory, Stephen will be “FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS.” His legacy and the memories he created will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved him.
