Mr. Rickey” Slick Rick” Jackson Sr. was born in Sparta, Georgia on Saturday December 12, 1959 to loving parents late Mr. Robert Jackson and late Mrs. Catherine Jackson at an early age he joined Union Baptist Church of Mayfield Georgia, later in life he joined Sandy Grove AME Church of Warrenton GA he received his education attending Hancock Central in Sparta GA ,He joined the Army National Guard May 18,1981 and received an Honorable Discharged January 5,1991,he was previously employed by Wheland Foundry and Velstar Transportation, he was a dedicated employee until he became a disabled Veteran, he enjoyed fishing, outdoors, spending time with family and friends and always brought love and laughter in a room. Those who preceded him in death was his daughter Valerie Shante Jackson, Mother Catherine Jackson, Father Robert Jackson, Maternal Grand Parents; Jewel and Ralph Reynolds; Paternal Grandparents; Stonewall Sr. and Ailean Jackson and Brother, Edward Reynolds.
To suffer pain no more and forever lean in the everlasting arms of his maker, Rickey Jackson Sr. died peacefully on March 17,2021 at Doctor’s Hospital PCU Unit in Augusta GA
To forever cherish Rickey's precious memories: a loving and devoted wife for over 32 years, Janet Jackson; two children Kelsey Jackson of Warrenton GA and Rickey Jackson Jr. of Thomson GA ;two sisters Brenda and Sandra Jackson both of Thomson GA; three brothers, Willie (Vanessa )Reynolds of Conyers GA, Marvin Reynolds of Sparta, GA and late Edward Reynolds of Mayfield GA; seven brother in laws Curtis (Toni )Cosby both of Warrenton Georgia, Mack Jr (Flora )Cosby both of Fort Valley GA, Donald and Calvin Cosby both of Warrenton GA, Marvin Cosby of Jonesboro GA, Late Mitchell Cosby, Willie Gilliam and James Coy Gilliam of Warrenton GA, and Willie(Odessa ) Ricketson of Brooklyn ,New York six sisters in laws; Alice Cosby of Jonesboro GA, Christine, and Carol Ann Cosby both of Warrenton GA, Marilyn Bly of Harlem GA, late Fay (Stephen)Berry both of Warrenton GA, late Catherine “Cathy ”Cosby of Warrenton GA. a host of niece’s, nephews,cousins and friends.
