Michael Ivey, son of the late Sally Lou “Alex” Henry Burnett, was born on December 28, 1965. He departed this life on Thursday, February 12, 2026. Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
Michael attended the Warren County School System and graduated with the Class of 1987. He was a dedicated employee for the City of Warrenton, where he worked in the Water Department for many years until his health declined.
Affectionately known as “Tic Toc,” Michael loved to dance, laugh, and enjoy life with family and friends. His joyful spirit and warm personality will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his devoted wife, Ida Hill; two children, Lavenus (Antonio) Ruff and Vincent (Stephanie) Hill, both of Thomson, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Terrell Ruff, Terrea Ruff, Ashad Ruff, Avery Ruff, Austin Ruff, August Ruff, Vinquavious Hill, Jocque Hardens, and Vincent Hill, all of Thomson, Georgia; nine brothers, Will (Nora) Ivey, Jessie B. Ivey, Robert (Elaine) Ivey, Milton (Regina) Ivey, Norman (Carrie) Ivey, William Burnett, Tyrone Burnett, and Henry (Ella) Reese; six sisters, Pearl Ivey, Carrie (Bill) Samuels, Sallie Ivey, Pamela (Eddie) Winfrey, Betty Burnett, and Mary (Tony) McNair; two devoted best friends, Stanley “Pooh” Johnson and Tommy Seals; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts, and a host of family and friends.
