“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-3
Jarell was born on April 14, 1950 in Sparta, Georgia to the late Leroy and Lucille Oliver Wright. One brother, Emerett Lee Wright, preceded him in death. Jarell attended the Trinity School, L.S. Ingram School and graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1968. He was a band member and played the snare drum.
On April 15, 1978, he was joined in holy matrimony to Linda A. Horton. To this union a son was born, JaRell M. Wright. Jarell was a man of God, and he loved Trinity C.M.E. Church, where he was a steward and clerk. He wore many hats at Trinity and loved every moment, doing whatever he had to do at the church.
Jarell had a heart of gold and freely showed his love for family and friends. Always the peacemaker in the family, he never took sides. He would say, “Love each other, and do what’s right.” He was a mentor to so many and tried to tell them the right thing to do. He would help anyone and would make sure that they were taken care of.
He will be sadly missed, but his memories will be cherished by: his wife, Linda, son, JaRell (Shericka), daughter, Tanisha, and two brothers, Beauford (Jacqueline) and Frank, all of Sparta, GA; three sisters, Mazina, Hilda, and Barbara of Bronx, NY; two granddaughters, Jenisha and Sha’Niyah; five nieces, Linda, Glenda, Ina, Anna, and Velma; two nephews, Jason and Israel; one special cousin who was considered a sister, Wylene Johnson Reese; mother-in-law, Dorothy Horton; sisters-in-law, Alberta, Jennifer (Eugene), Williemae, Christine, Arnita (Mark), and Betty Jean; and a host of cousins and friends
