Mr. Caleb Walls Obituary

A Celebration and Remembrance of Life

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Caleb Andrew Walls, who was called home to eternal rest by God’s Angels on July 26, 2025, at the Macon Atrium Health Medical Center in Macon, Georgia. Caleb was 76 years old. Born in Sparta, Georgia, on April 11, 1949, Caleb was the beloved son of the late Mr. Robert Walls, Sr., and Mrs. Malinda Willis Walls. He was a man of unwavering faith, a dedicated family member, and a cherished friend. Caleb was preceded in death by his son, Caleb Anthony Walls, Jr., as well as three brothers and four sisters.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his son, Antavious (Quan) Walls of Milledgeville, Georgia; brother, Joseph (Wanda) Walls of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Caleb spent his formative years in the Devereux Community and received his education through the Hancock County School System. At a young age, he embraced Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, becoming a faithful and integral member of Jones Chapel A. M. E. Church, where he actively participated in Sunday school and regular Sunday worship services.

From an early age, Caleb was instilled with the values of discipline and respect. He was known for his kind heart, honesty, and trustworthiness, qualities that earned him the respect of all who knew him. Caleb learned the value of hard work and developed a wide range of skills and talents throughout his life. He worked for Georgia Pacific, the Macon brickyard, and most recently, Horton Homes in Eatonton, where he retired. Even after retirement, he continued to serve his community as a handyman, demonstrating his unwavering work ethic until his vision became severely limited.

Despite his visual impairment, Caleb’s spirit remained unbroken. God strengthened his other senses, allowing him to maintain his independence for many years. He was a man who disliked burdening others and took great pride in providing for himself. He maintained his physical and mental fitness through daily exercise, embodying a remarkable ‘no quit’ attitude.

Caleb was an avid sports enthusiast and a talented baseball player. In the 1970s, he played for the Sparta All-Stars (Semi-pro summer league) team, where his skill as a left-handed pitcher helped keep the team competitive. He also enjoyed grilling, gardening, hunting, and fishing, embracing his love for the outdoors.

Above all, Caleb cherished his faith, family, and friends. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, particularly his son, Quan, ensuring his well-being and security. His legacy will live on through the love and memories he shared with those who knew him. The family would like to extend a special thank you to those who helped him for their unwavering support and care for Caleb.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends during this time of loss.
Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
