Minnie Mae Ruff was born on July 16, 1933 to the late Willie and Rosa Mae Gillom. She was the oldest of seven children. She transitioned peacefully from labor to reward on August 14, 2022.
At an early age, Minnie joined Mt.Moriah Baptist Church. She was a member of the Missionary Ministry and served in various roles throughout the church until her health failed.
On December 30,1952, she was united in holy matrimony to the late Roy Ruff Sr. To this union eight children were born.
Minnie was employed at Uniroyal and HealthTex for many years. She loved to cook and bake. She also loved her flowers.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband of 50+ years, Roy Ruff Sr., a son Robert Ruff, parents Willie and Rosa Gillom, a sister Velma (Hubert) Ried, and a brother Willie Tom Gillom.
She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Linda Ruff, Patricia Williams, and Denise (Chuck) Ruff all of Warrenton, GA; four sons, Roy (Edna) Ruff Sr., of Ft. Irwin, California, Ronald Ruff, Donald Ruff, Thomas Ruff all of Warrenton, GA; one daughter in law Ruby Ruff of Thomson, GA; three sisters Dorothy Johnson of Augusta, GA, Mildred Barksdale of Warrenton, GA, and Evelyn ( Bobby) Brinkley of Atlanta, GA; one brother Willie E. Gillom of Warrenton, GA; two sister in laws Ruby Ruff of Augusta, Ga and Lura Gillom of Warrenton, GA; two bonus children Chauncey & Annie Rhodes of Warrenton, GA; two devoted friends Sunbeam Wilson and Recia Williams; 21 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
