Mildred Gilliam was born on November 20, 1960 in Warren County, to the late Edith Gilliam Hill and Kenneth Cheeley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edith G. Hill (Willie) and Kenneth Shelley (Annie), daughter Yolanda Gilliam and brother, Mario Cheeley.
Mildred was education in the Warren County School System. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed her occupation at Augusta State Medical Prison and Hancock State Medical Prison combined for more than 14 years.
Mildred’s memories will be cherished by her loving grandson, Zabian Gilliam, sisters and brothers; Jacqueline Bell, Julie Gilliam (Joshua Allen), Donald Gilliam, Jerry Gilliam (Yvonne) Warner Robins, GA; Teresa Berry (Jimmy), Mark Hill, Augusta, GA, Orrin Cheeley Decatur, GA; loving aunts and uncles, Marion Lawson (Atlanta, GA) Earnestine Jackson (Andrew) Roosevelt, NY; Shirley Cheeley, Tempie Moore, Willie Otis Cheeley, David Worthy; a devoted and special friend James Pryor and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
