Mary Geretha Morris Taylor was born February 27, 1939 in Mayfield, Georgia to the late Carl Wade and  Maggie Morris.

She departed this earthly life on Saturday May 6, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital in Sandy Spring, Georgia.

"Dude" as she was affectionately called was raised by the late Rembert and Mamie “Lit” Morris.  She received her education from (LS Ingram H.S./Mayfield Springfield Elem) and Savannah State college. She united Union Baptist Church, at an early age, then later worship at The Chapel of Christian Love Missionary Baptist Church, Rev James Miller. She lived most of her life in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Mary leaves to cherish, her precious memories two children Marcus (Devvine) Morris of Sparta, Georgia and Bernetta (Antwaun) Lewis of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Fabrienne (Lamonte) Fluellen of Sparta, Georgia; Denitra Moore of Baltimore, Maryland;  Shemarcus Morris of White Plains, Georgia; Shawonza Pierce and Bria Hutchinson of Atlanta, Georgia; Myles Morris of Sparta, Georgia; seven great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren, one brother- Wes (Lee) Shorty  of Atlanta, Georgia. A devoted niece Annette Robinson of Atlanta, Georgia, and host of family and friends.
