Mary Alma Foster-Cummings was born on December 19, 1946, in Hancock County, to the late Mrs. Mary Bell Foster and the late Mr. Perry Lee Foster, Sr. As a young child, “Mooke”, as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was a loving, hard-working, dedicated woman who found joy and pleasure helping family and friends, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mooke joined Victory Baptist Ministries, Inc., in 2013, under the leadership of the late Rev. Alexander Ingram. She attended L.S. Ingram School and started work at an early age.
Mooke was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Cummings; three children, Vivian Foster, Angela Wallace, and John Wallace, Jr. three sisters, Jessie Williams, Mary Alice Webber, and Mary Lizzie Foster; two brothers, Perry Foster, Jr., and Anderson Foster;
Mooke leaves to cherish her memories: two children, Susanne (Willie) Hatcher and Jerry (AcQuanette) Wallace; four sisters, Mildred Boyer, Susie (Charlie) Culver, Julia Foster-Ingram, and Delois Bell; Arthur (Joyce) Foster, Walter Foster, Sammy (Catherine) Foster, and Jimmy Foster; one daughter-in-law, Shanita Wallace; grandchildren, De’angelo Wallace, Ty drigues Brooks, Cynethia (Quartarvius) Greene, Darrius Thomas, Williesha Hatcher, Jemia Hatcher, Justin Wallace, Alexia Ingram, Devontavius Barnes, and Keria Lott; uncles and aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
