Mr. Mack Thomas entered into rest on September 5, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital in Thomson, Georgia. He was born on October 12, 1958, to the late Earnest and Earnestine Thomas in Hancock County, Sparta, Georgia.
Mack attended and graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1977. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined Union Baptist Church in Mayfield, Georgia, where he faithfully served as a member of the Usher Board until his passing.
After thirty years of dedicated service, Mack retired from Knox Rivers. He enjoyed watching football, listening to music, playing cards, riding, and spending time with friends and family.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Donricous Barns of Sparta, Georgia, and Nick Gibson of Conyers, Georgia; two sisters, Ernest Mae (Randy) Norris of Warrenton, Georgia, and Paulette Crandell of Detroit, Michigan; one sister-in-law, Helen McGahee-Thomas of Thomson, Georgia; a special neighborhood friend, Greshina Drake of Mayfield, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends and ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this time of bereavement.
