Linton “Balie” Rogers, age 73, died on May 16, 2023 at Higher Living Personal Care Home.
He was born on August 30, 1949 in Camak, Georgia to the late Willie and Beatrice Rogers. He attended the Warren County School System. He was employed by Seaboard and HP Pelzer. He loved to wash cars, listen to music and watch television. He enjoyed walking to the store.
He is preceded in death by his brothers: Owen Rogers, George Rogers, B.L. Rogers, Willie Rogers, Jr., Willie Thomas Rogers, Hillard Reese and Joe Jackson; his sisters: Minnie Lee Jordan, Bessie Sykes, Rolean Brown Gibson, Gladys Lewis and Daisy Mae Jackson..
He is survived by his son, Tyraill Ritley (Shunquantavious Curry) of Thomson, GA; grandchildren: Javari Hill and Tyasia Ritley; his sisters, Vera Jones of Camak, GA, Evelyn Stephens of Atlanta, GA, Mamie (Willie) Davis of Philadelphia, PA, Lassie Reese of Augusta, GA; his brothers: Clinton (Alberta) Rogers of Warrenton, GA, Henry King, Sr. of Warrenton, GA; an uncle, Reverend Asbury (Alex) Walker of Jacksonville, FL; an aunt, Eula Mae Bowens of Boston, MA; Caregivers: Kathy Grier, Charlotte Ivey, Katrina Jones and Stacy Ivey; nieces: Tywanda Rogers, Tracy Reese, Crystal Walker, Patricia Allen, Belinda Drummond, and Sherry Gaddy; nephews: Stacy Rogers, Quincy and Tracy Jones, James Davis, Henry King, Jr., Paul, Mark, and Michael Stephens; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; A special thanks to Higher Living Personal Care Home and Helping Hands Hospice. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day; and not me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”
