Leola Lewis, affectionately known by all loved ones as “Sista,” was born on March 31, 1959 to the late Leo and Vera Lewis. She was the second born of four.
Leola spent her childhood days in Devereux, Georgia and proceeded to move to Milledgeville Georgia in the 1980’s to raise her two daughters.
To know Leola, is to know that she never liked to stay still for too long and if she felt like she wanted to go somewhere she wasted no time lacing up a pair of shoes and hitting the streets. With that being said it came as no surprise when she moved to Atlanta, Georgia in the early 2000’s.
Leola was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Vera Lewis; her beloved sister Barbara Jean Harris; and her loving Sister-In-Law Teretha Lewis.
Leola is survived by her two daughters Latasha Scott and Keshala Lewis; her two brothers Darryl Lewis and Lester Lewis; three grandchildren Talisha Wells, Cameron Delaney, and Deja Delaney; two great grandchildren Carson Kitchens and Novsakie Wells Jr.; five nieces Tomekia Harris, Tanesia Jackson, Sabrina Lewis, Angel Lewis, and Charlonda Lewis; two nephews Marcus Harris and Corey Lewis; a special cousin Tommie Butts and a host of family and friends who loved her dearly.
