LeeSander “Bookie” Ivey was born in Milledgeville, Ga on February 13, 1992 and was the youngest child of Mary Lois Yarber of Thomson, Ga. and Lee “George” Ivey of Warrenton, Ga. LeeSander, age 25 entered into sweet rest on June 28, 2017 in Thomson, Ga.
LeeSander graduated from Hancock Central High School in 2011. After high school, LeeSander attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa in 2013 to obtain her Commercial Driver License (CDL) and begin driving for Swift Transportation in 2014. After driving for Swift Transportation, LeeSander decided she wanted to be closer home to raise her son and begin working for the McDuffie County Board of Education in 2015 as a bus driver and left shortly afterwards in 2016 to work at Milsco Inc. in Thomson, Ga. where she was employed until her death.

Ivey of Thomson, Ga., four aunts; a special auntie Charlotte (Rodney) Ivey of Warrenton, Ga., Geraldine (Prinston) Williams of Atlanta, Ga., Kathy (Alfred) Wilson of Thomson, Ga., Penny Ivey of Eatonton, Ga., three uncles; Willie (Anna) Tanksley of Norwood, Ga., Curtis (Brenda) Ivey of Mayfield, Ga., and Willie (Seal) Ivey of Warrenton, Ga., two good friends; Voleka Ficklin of Thomson, Ga., and Crystal Kitchens of Mayfield, Ga., special loved ones; Mary (Ben) Burley, Barbara Kitchen, and KaKeilia Durham, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
