Katherine Louise Taylor (affectionately known as "Paint") was born on June 25, 1956, to Mae J. Taylor and William Lott in Warrenton, Georgia.
Paint attended Abraham Lincoln high school in Boston, Massachusetts. Paint then went on to join the workforce at Polaroid also in Boston and later worked at Jacko in Warrenton. Paint was a hard worker and loved making money.
In 1969, Paint meet the love of her life, Francisco Velasquez Jr. Five years later, they created Paint’s one and only son, Caron C. Taylor.
Family meant everything to Paint. She loved everyone dearly. Although her love was strong, she had a strong dislike of Boston. After moving to New York for several years, Paint eventually followed her roots. She decided to make Georgia her final stomping grounds. Something about the country made Paint feel at home.
Paint was known for being loud, truthful, and honest. Whether you wanted to hear it or not, she would always keep it honest with you. One thing about Paint: she was real with herself. And that’s how you know she was real with you.
Paint is survived by her only son Caron C. Taylor of Boston, MA; granddaughter Riley Taylor and daughter-in-law Leona Smith; her sisters Roberta Taylor of Boston, MA, Agnes Dawson of Warrenton, GA, Bernicestine Moss of Thomson, GA, Angela Martin of Thomson, GA, Linda Lott of Orlando, FL and Debra Simmons of Atlanta, GA; her brothers Kenny Taylor and Charles Taylor of Boston, MA and Chris Nuckles of Warrenton, GA; her cousins/sisters, Jewell “White” Tomlin of Atlanta, GA, Lula “Molly” Patton, and Stacy Lott both of Boston, MA; brother-in-law’s Willis Tomlin of Atlanta, GA and Willie Dawson of Warrenton, GA; and sister-in-law Maryann Nuckles of Warrenton, GA; her nieces India L.
