John Wesley Wallace, Sr., was born on April 6, 1943 in Sparta, Georgia to the late George Wallace and Mary Thomas Wallace.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Marie Wallace and one son, John Wesley Wallace, Jr., one sister, Lucille Grant, and two brothers, Tommy Wallace and John Hugh Wallace.
John was married to Mary Cummings and to this union four children were born.
Jake as he was affectionately called is survived by one daughter Susanna (Willie) Hatcher of Sparta, Georgia, Jerry (AcQuanette) Wallace of Milledgeville, Georgia, two sisters, Georgia Mae (Kenny) Culver and Anne Ree (Edward) Miller both of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Edward Lee Wallace of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Shanita Wallace; grandchildren De’Angelo Wallace, Tydriques Brooks, Cynethia (Quartavius) Greene, Darrius Thomas, Alexia Ingram, Williesha Hatcher, Jemia Hatcher, Devontavious Barnes, Justin Wallace and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
