Jessie Mae Nelson

On Friday, June 3, 2022, Sis. Jessie Mae Nelson (Sister) entered into rest.

Sis. Jessie Mae Nelson was born one of a set of twins on April 24, 1933, along with twin brother Jessie Lee Tucker.

She was joined in matrimony to Mr. Bubba Nelson, Jr. in June of 1954.

She became a member of William Grove Baptist Church at a young age.

Sis. Nelson had been employed as a CNA for more than 30 years before her retirement. After her retirement, she made herself available to her community. She became the go to person for any and everyone in her apartment complex where she lived for nearly 30 years, and the same for anyone who knew her or didn't know her no matter where they lived. She was one of the most giving people a person could ever meet. She had so many more qualities beside this that made her stand alone and being one of the brightest shining earthly stars that the eye could ever see.

She was preceded in death by both parents: Mr. George Tucker and Mrs. Louvenia Tucker, her husband, Mr. Bubba Nelson, Jr.; brothers: Mr. Roy Tucker, Mr. George Tucker, Mr. Jessie Lee Tucker, and Mr. Willie Edward Tucker; niece, Mrs. Mariah Walden; nephews: Mr. Charles Mills and SMSgt. Troy Mills.

She leaves to cherish her memory: adoptive daughter, Roslyn Houston Moss (Calvin); granddaughter, Charisma R. Moss Canine; grandson, Max; a special niece she raised as her own child, Louvenia Lane.

She also leaves a very devoted niece/caretaker, Gwennette Lovette; sisters, Mrs. Eva Lou Mills, Mrs. Willie Lou Neal, and Mrs. Willie Mae Lawrence; nieces, Annette Irwin (Willie), Mary Ann Mae (Stanley), Louvenia Gibson, Diane Jackson (Melvin), Evelyn Braddy, Mildred Lane, Shirley Fleming, Carolyn Wiley, Sara Neal, Bessie Jones, Elizabeth Tucker, Lisa Sanford, Tricia Lawrence, Delois Ivey, Marcia Miller, Lucille Ivey (Jerry), Cora Wilcher, and Jackilyn Moss; nephews, Larry Lawrence, Melton Lawrence, Milton Lawrence, Terry Lawrence, Charles Lawrence, Roosevelt Mills, Jerry Mills, Willie Wigfall, James Wigfall; adoptive grandchildren, Preston Little, Lacey Chalker, Mariah Edwards; a host of many more family and friends.
