(For we walk by faith, not by sight) We are confident I say, and willing to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
Jeffery Patrick Farmer, better known as “Jeff,” son of the late Idessa Patsy Smith Walton and Jessie LeRoy Farmer, was born on September 7, 1964, in Brooklyn, New York. He was a graduate of Hancock Central Highschool, class of 1983. He possessed a strong craft and the unique ability to build and fix things with his hands, which allowed him to follow many of his dreams and passions. Jeff was united in holy matrimony to Cynthia Denise Reynolds on July 25, 1992. They were blessed with one son, Jervante Markese Farmer. Although their union ended, they maintained a friendship.
Jeff had a generous spirit and pleasant personality, for which he was loved by many. In his pastime, you could catch Jeff watching his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, while enjoying a cold brew (talking crap) with a smile on his face. He always enjoyed being a help to others, whether he was painting homes or being an all-around “handyman,” he always would lend a hand to others in need. In the middle of the pandemic erupting, Jeffery’s courageous and adventurous spirit led him to uproot from Georgia and become a resident of California. While there he was able to begin building a wonderful life for himself, in which he started a career working at Home Depot as a lead sales associate. He quietly departed this life on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Vista Post Acute Nursing Home. His influence will forever remain in the lives of all who loved and knew him.
Jeff was preceded in death by his brothers, Vance Walton, Robert Farmer, Frank Framer, and Trent Smith; one sister, Toni Smith; his beloved children whom he cherished with his heart, Jervante Farmer, Corderia Lawrence, Jada Brown, Tanyeka Farmer, and Jefstavius Farmer; his darling nieces, Ciara Barber, Taneka Jenkins, Charnice Jenkins, and Ashley Jenkins; his nephew, Montrez Jenkins; along with a host of cousins and friends.
