On Saturday, July 16th, 2016 in Sparta, GA, God in His infinite wisdom called Jeannette Harris home to eternal rest. Jeannette was born in Taliaferro County, Crawfordsville, Georgia on June, 20th 1932. She was the fourth of eight children born to the late Willie Harris and Edna Hubert Harris. After the untimely death of her parents, she and some of her sisters were raised by their paternal grandmother, Lucy Harris.
Jeannette accepted Christ at an early age and although she lived in Philadelphia for the majority of her life, her heart was always with the Level Hill Church Family in Crawfordville, GA. In her years of residence in Philadelphia, Jeannette worked in housekeeping and continued throughout her life to take the utmost pride in cleanliness. Although Jeannette never had children of her own, she was known for the love and devotion she gave to her nieces and nephews. In 2003 Jeannette moved to Sparta, GA and began a new chapter of her life.
Jeannette was a lover of family and music. She leaves us to remember her quiet strength. She was a humble servant, gentle spirit, and beloved by many.
Jeannette’s love is cherished by her devoted sisters Ethelene Bell and Evelyn Osborne Battle, both of Sparta, GA. Her siblings Willie Jr., Anna Mae, Gayzella, Marvene, and Zelma preceded her in death, but always remained cherished in her heart. She leaves a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends to cherish her memory.

Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him." The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.
For men are not cast off by the Lord forever. Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love.
