Jarvis Tamyo Battle of Sparta, Georgia, was born in Eatonton, Georgia, to Linton and Yvonne Grant. He was the second of three children. Jarvis was a proud graduate of Hancock Central High School. He had a love for sports and enjoyed riding.
On April 18, 2026, Jarvis was called home to be with the Lord.
He was preceded in death by Quinton (Ida Mae) Grant, Alexander (Ulysees) Battle, Rosa Mae Tucker, Bobby Grant, Thomas Grant, his sister Tiffany Grant, Bill Culver, and Linton Cobb II.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Makayla Reese; his goddaughter, Shaniya Wilson; his mother, Yvonne Linton Grant; his sisters, Maritia Battle and Brittney Ford; his godbrothers, Sh’marquez W., Demarius, and Kingston T.; his uncles, Quinton Grant Sr., Jeffery Grant, Sampson Grant, Jerry Battle, Hilton Ragland, and William Culver.
Jarvis also leaves a host of loving cousins: Tawaski, Valisha, Leka, Shanika, Bobby, Shonda, Undrae, Ronda, Travaris, Dennis, Jermaine R., Jermaine B., and Shaqueena; and aunts Dorothy B., Rosa G., and Eleanor H.
He was especially loved by his special aunt, Eleanor Hamilton; his godmother, Diane Scott; and his best friends, Quann, Yoggle, Jarvis Burton, and Marco, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
