Mr. Hossie Robertson, Jr. was born on February 21, 1947, in Warren County, Georgia, to the late Mr. Hossie Robertson, Sr., and Mrs. Vinia Alexander Robertson. He was called to rest on January 28, 2025, at Sparta Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sparta, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Willie J. Robertson and Unice C. Robertson.
At an early age, Hossie joined Stamp Branch Baptist Church. He dedicated 42 years of service as a welder at Jebco, Inc. He was known for his favorite sayings, “Get with The Program” and “Still My Love.” Hossie had a passion for wrestling and music.
He is survived by his four sons: Ricky Young (Celeste) of Sparta, GA; Curtis Robertson of Stapleton, GA; Nickie Robertson of Hammonton, NJ; and Keith Robertson of Mitchell, GA, along with their mother, Brenda C. Robertson. He also leaves behind a daughter, Angela Hall of Warrenton, GA.
Additionally, he is survived by five sisters: Betty Beausejour of Mitchell, GA; Mary Wilcher of Warrenton, GA; Debra Hatcher of Warrenton, GA; Caldonia Reynolds; and Bobbie Jean Lazenby (Leon) of Thomson, GA.
His five brothers include Bobby “S.T.” Robertson (Sara) of Augusta, GA; Freddie Robertson of Augusta, GA; Sylvester Robertson (Darlene) of Warrenton, GA; Felton Hatcher (Mary); and Tony Hatcher (Dorothy) of Fayetteville, NC.
Hossie was a beloved grandfather to fourteen grandchildren and a great-grandfather to eleven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind dear friends, Mary C. Wilcher, Ed Ficklin, Billy Moss and Charles Hubert, along with eight sister-in laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will cherish his memory.
