Edward Drake was born November 16, 1952 to Richard and Annie Laura Drake, in Norwood Georgia. He is preceded in death by his three brothers Willie Ben Cason, James Edward Howard and Johnny Richard Drake. Edward attended Warrenton County Public School. He later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he became a skilled carpenter.

Edward was a very outgoing and highly respected person. Most of his time was spent fishing and sitting under the tree with is neighbors and friends. He had a BIG heart and never met a stranger.

Edward met his love and lifelong companion Linda Yarbrough. The entered into a committed relationship and became a bonus father to her two children Kim Yarbrough-Daniels (Maurice), April Yarbrough and a proud PaPa of Brandon Murphy.

Edward will be truly missed and leaves to cherish his memories: two sisters Ora Lee Seals and Daisy Lee Howard of Atlanta, GA; two sisters in –law Maude Lee Cason and Sarah Howard of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
