Earl Lawson,Sr.

Earl Lawson, Sr., 82, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020. He was born July 13, 1938 in Sparta, Georgia a son of Viola (Ingram) and Richard Lawson.

He worked for the City of Cleveland Sanitation Department for many years.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Denise Lawson-Dennis; grandchildren, Cleon Crowley, Gary Lawson and Eboney Lawson; great-granddaughter, Kinya Matoria; brothers, Emmitt Lawson, Ulysses Lawson and Curtis Lawson; and sisters, Willie M. Ballden and Gladys Allen.

Earl leaves to cherish his memory: his former wife and mother of his children, Josephine (Crable) Lawson-Core; daughter, Serena Lawson-Crawford; sons, Earl Dwain (Lanona) Lawson, Jr. and Richard E. Lawson; grandchildren, Michael Jerome Crowley, Jr., Rodney McMahon, Jr., Rodgerick McMahon, Maurtel Lawson, Antwain Lawson, and Juane Lawson; great-grandchildren, Rod’Jane McMahon, Gary Lawson, Mahdi Lawson, and RaiYan McMohon; sisters, Johnnie M. (Charles) Clayton of Sparta, Georgia and Catherine (John) Torain of Cleveland, Ohio; brothers, Albert Lawson of Sparta, Georgia and Otis (Gloria) Lawson of Cleveland, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
