Dr. Arlander Harold Nolley, Sr. was born on March 21, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late John H. Nolley and Verna Nolley. Dr. Nolley, age 73, transitioned peacefully on June 15, 2017 at his residence located in Mitchell, Georgia.
During his early years, Arlander Nolley, Sr., attended the Atlanta Public School System. "Land", the endearment given to him by many, ran the streets of Summer Hill and ran into his soulmate at the age of sixteen. Land asked Janie Mae to marry him, accepting both her and her sisters and brothers to raise as his own. They were joined in Holy Matrimony on May 25, 1963. To this union twenty children was born, but together, they raised twenty-five children, including Janie's brothers and sisters.
"Land" was known for his singing, taking care of his family, and being a hard working man. However, no one knew that he would become the Preacher-Man. After meeting his wife, the late and great Founder of The House of God, The House of Prayer, For All Nations, Inc., "Land", begin to change. Running from the lady in white, he was determined he was not going to become a "holy-roller". But one day in 1974, "Land" changed forever and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He became a member of The House of God, The House of Prayer, For All Nations, Inc. and elevated in the ministry from a Deacon-Evangelist, Teacher, Prophet, Pastor, 1st Apostle of The House of God, and became a Doctor of the Law where he served faithfully as the Chief Apostle until his demise.
Dr. Arlander H. Nolley, Sr. was preceded in death by his dearly beloved wife of fifty-four years, Mother Janie Mae Nolley, his devoted Mother-in-Christ, Mother Ozieline Strother, his loving father and mother, John and Verna Nolley, and his caring brother, John Nolley
He is survived by and leaves with cherished memories, sixteen beautiful children: Andrew (Kemyatta) Nolley, Sr., Arlander (the late Sharon) Nolley, Jr., James (Meshell) Nolley, Sr., Uland (Tyronda) Nolley, Sr., Yolanda (Levoy) Hamilton, Ozieline (Rodney) Boykin, Vernon Nolley, Velma (Jabare) Smith, Thaddeus (Natosha) Nolley, Dorcas (Realus) George, Cephas Nolley, Langston (Chameisha) Nolley, Pheobe Nolley, Miriam (Justin) Bibbins, Tranecia Nolley, Shanteria Nolley, and one adopted son, Reginald Reid. seventy-seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, his loving sister, Anita Patrick, one uncle, Wille George Anderson, one nephew, Ricky Nolley, two Sister-in-laws, Bernice (Ulyssess) Salter, Carolyn (Charlie) Daniels; one brother-in-law, Jerry (Peaches) Brock, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church members whom he loved dearly.
