Ms. Denora Heard Nunnally (Dee) was born August 31, 1950 to the late Ruby S. Heard Cobb. She was called home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2021.
Denora joined Pole Branch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She attended Washington Central High School then attended Lucy-Laney Craft High School where she graduated as class of 1968. She worked many years as a dedicated Royal Manufacturer employee. She had the privilege of working at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, GA. She was also employed as a jailer at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department until her health failed.
Denora was a kind-hearted person to all. She was not only known to remember everyone she met but also to remember how she met each and every person.
Denora was married to the late John L. Nunnally and together they had two sons.
She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Rodriquez K. Nunnally and two siblings, sister Elizabeth A. Heard and brother James T. Heard.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one devoted son Costella D. Nunnally (Surece) of Sparta, GA, sisters Mary S. Rucker (late-Preston) of New York, NY, Louise G. Wright (Jesse) of Athens, GA, brother Ashley (Jackie) Tignall, GA, one sisterin-law Earnestine of Atlanta, GA. Two aunts, Pauline Crew of Washington, GA, and Mary A. Mitchell (Buck) of New York, NY. Four grandchildren: Brycen, Destiny, Rodriguez, and Caden, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
