Deborah Dixon Fields

December 25, 1954 ~ September 13, 2016 (age 61) 61 Years Old

On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, God in His infinite wisdom called Deborah Annette Dixon Fields into eternal rest. Deborah was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on December 25, 1954. She was the oldest of six beautiful children born to the late James Henry Dixon, Jr. and Zelma Harris Dixon.

Deborah (affectionately known as Debbie) lived in Philadelphia for many years and in 1994, Deborah began a new and exciting chapter of her life when she moved to Sparta, Ga and then Milledgeville., Ga. Deborah loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. He truly was the center of her joy and the rock she stood upon time and time again. Although faced with medical challenges, Deborah always stood firm in her faith and held on to God’s word found in Psalm 118:17 “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” She did that until her work was done. Well done Debbie! She was an intercessor who prayed for her family, friends and those she didn’t even know. She took her calling seriously and did not waiver from that calling. She was truly a gift to all of us sent from above.

Debbie poured into her children and her grandchildren who will now carry on her legacy. Michael J. Fields, Jr. (Julia), Honolulu, Hawaii, Demond B. Fields, Milledgeville, GA and Natasha C. Woods, Greensboro, GA. Grandchildren: Tiffany, Shaela, Maya, Tamia, Anthony, Shannon, Jordan, Kirsten. She will be missed by her siblings whom she loved dearly: Stanford (Gwen), Barry (Teresa), Randall, Sandra (Raymond), all of Pennsylvania and Gregory of Florida. She will also be missed by her aunts Ethelene Bell, Evelyn Osborne Battle of Sparta, GA., Ruth Kendrick and Uncle Thomas Dixon, along with a host of family and friends.

His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: though hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter though into the joy of the lord. (Matthew 25:21 KJV)
