Deborah A. Blair was born on May 26, 1966 to the parents of Bettie Stanford Blair and the late Willie L. Blair at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York.
Deb made the transition to her new life on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at University Hospital in Augusta, GA.
Deb attended the Rochester City Schools in Rochester, New York and the Warren County Public Schools. She was a Warren County 1984 graduate. After graduating from Warren County High School, Deb attended Arnold Padrick's University of Cosmetology where she earned her Cosmetology Degree. At an early age, Deb joined Cody Grove Baptist Church and later united with the House of God, House of Prayer for all Nations. She was currently a member of Thankful Baptist Church in Gibson, GA.
She was united in holy matrimony to Marvin Hurt and with this union two children were born.
Deb was preceded in death by her father, Willie L. Blair (1996), daughter, Porsha Hurt (1986), brother, David L. Blair (2012), grandmothers, Mrs. Veline Stanford Thomas (2001) and Mrs. Eva Lou Jones (2010), grandfathers, Mr. Elijah Jones (2008) and Mr. Charlie Edward Stanford (2012) nephews, Dontavius A. Blair (2010) and James Seamster (2016) great-aunt, Lue Widdie Collins (2016) and God Mother, Sally Lou Ivey McNair (2010).
Deb leaves to cherish her memories, her mother Bettie Stanford Blair of Rochester, NY; a daughter, Raevan Shaniece Hurt of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Mary Blair Lewis of Warrenton, GA; two brothers, Dave Lewis (Nicole) Blair of Atlanta, GA and Donald Lewis (Shanetha) Blair of Rochester, NY; three nieces, Kenvetta Blair, Davelia Kelly and Jonah Darden; five nephews, Kenvoris Blair, Marchavious Blair, Rasheem Blair, Clifford Butler and Colin Butler; great niece, Nyasia Blair; eight aunts, Barbara (Larry) Copeland and Eloise (Bishop Ronald) Wilcox both of Rochester, NY; Mary Louise (Alphonso) Smith, Eva Mae (Jerome) Rhodes all of Warrenton, GA; Shirley (Melvin) Williams of Thomson, GA; Lorene (Sam) Peebles of Swainsboro, GA; Elaine (Bobby) Connor of Savannah, GA and Annette Parker of Gibson, GA; three uncles, Albert (Carol) Blair of Henrietta, NY; James Roy (Patricia) Stanford of Warrenton, GA; and John Henry Stanford of Thomson, GA; three great-aunts, Thelma Mayes of Thomson, GA; Myra Bell and Virginia Ruth Battle both of Warrenton, GA; two great-uncles, William Mance of Thomson, GA and John Gilliam of Rochester, NY; three dear friends and families; Mrs. Deaine Barksdale and children, Ms. Ryan Hamilton and children, and Mr. Lamar Battle all of Warrenton, GA; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
