Mrs. Clara Lee was born on November 25, 1942 to the late Mr. Joe Baker and Mrs. Beulah Mae Banks. She passed into eternal rest at McDuffie-University Hospital, Thomson, GA on Saturday, August 27, 2016.
At an early age, she gave her life to the Lord and joined the Stamp Branch Baptist Church in Thomson, Georgia, where she began a lifelong relationship with the Lord. After joining in holy matrimony to the late Mr. King David Lee, Jr. in 1958, she joined the Greenwood Baptist Church. As a faithful member, she became a member of the Usher and Missionary Ministries where she served faithfully for over 45 years. Mrs. Lee was also a devoted member of the Deaconess and Mother Board Ministries.
She is preceded in death by her husband, the late Mr. King David Lee, Jr., one daughter, Janice Lee Herrington, and three sisters: Susie Adair, Ola Mae Maxwell, and Joe Ann Baker.
Her memories will live on in the lives of: three sons, Anthony Lee and Eric Lee of Warrenton, Georgia; Byron (Fatou) Lee of Conyers, Georgia; two daughters, Vivian (Morris) Turner of Augusta, Georgia, and Debra Few of Thomson, Georgia; one sister, Elizabeth Taylor of Savannah, Georgia; one brother, David (Annette) Baker of Savannah, Georgia; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Stella) Lee of Warrenton, Georgia, Frank (Rosa) Lee of Cleveland, Ohio, and Rudolphus (Mary) Lee of Baltimore, Maryland; sister-in-law, Rosie Pearl Heath of Baltimore, Maryland; (15) grandchildren, (14) great-grandchildren; two devoted goddaughters: Susie Gilmore of Augusta, Georgia & Beverly Lloyd of Thomson, Georgia; and a host of faithful friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
