Catherine Brown

Graveside Service for Ms. Catherine Brown, of Sparta, GA. will be Saturday, February 26, 2022, 2:00 PM at Holsey Memorial C.M.E. Cemetery, Sparta, GA, Reverend Gwendolyn Smith Pastor, Reverend Stanley Brown Eulogist.

Catherine Brown was born on November 14, 1958  in Sparta, Georgia to the parentage of the late John and Nancy Boone Brown.
 
Catherine was a 1976 graduate of Hancock Central High School. She worked various jobs during her lifetime until she found her niche. At an young age, she joined the Holsey Memorial CME Church Family. She was a transit driver for Hancock County Board of Commissioners and transferred patients to and from dialysis until her health failed and she ironically became a dialysis patient.
 
Catherine found the good in everyone and had a heart of Gold. She had an immeasurable amount of love for her family. Although she loves her daughters dearly, her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She spent her latter days laughing with her grandkids and daughters, spending time with her love Clifford and frequent phone calls with her uncle Frank, siblings and her cousins Alice,  Lawanza and Telly.
 
Catherine was preceded in death by her father John Brown, her mother  Nancy L. Boone Brown, and beloved daughter, Crystal N. Brown .
 
Catherine leaves to cherish her memories: two devoted daughters , Fantasia (Craig) Scott and Aelisha (Tavoris) Devereux, both of Sparta, Georgia. three loving sisters, Tracy Brown, of Lithonia, Georgia, Angela Brown of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Trenace Brown of Decatur, Georgia. three brothers William Brown of Lithonia, Georgia, Stanley Brown (Barbara) Brown of Midway, Georgia, and John Brown, Jr. of Decatur, Georgia: stepmother, Josephine A. Brown and stepsister, Sharon Mathis of Atlanta, Georgia, fourteen grandchildren: Kierra, LaDarius, Jasmine, Kenya, Omari, Jaidyn, Germany, Malik, De’Zaynia, Donovan, Autumn, Kaylee, Tavoris, Jr. and Alexa. one great grandchild: Khloe; Special friends: Irene Wilson, Beatrice Baker, Rita Washington, Michelle Flournoy, Jackie Howell, Alvin Jackson and a host of family, friends and loved ones. 

Visitation: Friday, February 25, 2022, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM
