“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23
Elder Carlus Kemp, Jr., was born March 2, 1956, to late Carlos and Virginia Kemp. The Lord called him home on Friday, June 9, 2023.
Elder Kemp was a faithful Elder at Believer’s Church of the Glory Ministries. He held many positions: praise and worship leader, lead teacher at bible study, prayer warrior, and youth advisor and counselor. He loved his Lord and Savior and accepted him into his life.
On February 12, 1994, he married the love of his life, Betty Jean Dawson. He was blessed with two sons, Carlus Kemp IV (Rokeisha Kemp) of Thomson, Georgia, and Khaalis Flournoy of Dallas, Georgia. He is survived by four siblings, Shirley Thomas (Pete) of Mayfield, Georgia, Ronnie Kemp (Mae Lizzy) of Warrenton, Georgia, Donna Kemp (Bernard) of Mayfield, Georgia, and Patricia Ivey of Camak, Georgia; five brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Carlus mission in life was to teach and give a helping hand in every area of life, spiritually, mentally, and physically. He devoted his life to his church, and everyone knew him for his devotion saying, “Money coming to me now, I will never be broke another day in my life.” He enjoyed mowing the lawn, working in his shed, watching sports, and attending church.
