Brenda J. (Gibson) McGee

Ms. Brenda Joyce Gibson, born on August 30, 1953, to the late Mr. Jimmie and Catherine Gibson, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, at Atrium Health Baldwin in Milledgeville, GA. She was 71 years old.

Brenda spent her early years in Georgia before relocating to Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she launched a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry. Known for her vibrant personality and infectious laughter, Brenda was the life of every gathering, bringing joy and light to all who knew her. She had a nurturing spirit and was always ready with love, support, and heartfelt advice for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Kalvin (Katrina) McGee; four sisters, Linda Gibson, Easter Gibson, Janice Gibson, and Jeanette Gibson; two brothers, Jimmie (Louvenia) Gibson, Jr. and Randy (Caroline) Gibson; her half-brother, Troy Mills; and a niece, Lashana Gibson.

Brenda’s legacy lives on through her children: sons Andre Moise of Milledgeville, GA, Traivon (Melanie) McGee of Trussville, AL, Xavier French of Lithonia, GA, and Larry (Diamond) French, Jr. of San Diego, CA; daughters Nikita McGee of Milledgeville, GA, and Tiffany McGee of Conyers, GA. She is also survived by her sisters, Runette Gibson and Lillie Gibson of Sparta, GA; a special niece, Shirley Gibson of Sparta, GA; a special nephew, Jason Gibson of Fort Lauderdale, FL; nine cherished grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, close friends, and other relatives who will forever hold her memory close. Brenda’s warmth, humor, and boundless love will be missed deeply but will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.
