Bernice (Dickson) Williams

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernice (Dickson) Williams, who departed from us on November 17, 2024 at the age of 62. Bernice was born on June 2, 1962 in Augusta, GA to Johnny and Venice Dickson.

Bernice graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1980. She also obtained her Master's degree from Georgia College & State University in 2004, and she studied at St. Leo University. Bernice was a respected member of the United States Air Force, where she retired after 24 years of dedicated service. Only to continue her service and career at Warner Robins Air Force Base, where she retired for a second time, after 19 years. She worked hard to accomplish all goals she set for herself, all while enjoying the finer things in life and traveling the world.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Michael Williams; her caring daughter, Shelita (Avery) Prioleau; her beloved grandsons, AJ and MV; her loving sister's Elaine Robinson, Deda Dickson and Sanjanetta (James) Butts; her caring Auntie, Vashti Jacobs; Sister In-laws, Liz Dickson, Linda Dickson, Linda Andrews-Burton, Regina Williams and Darlene O'Neal; her close friend, Mcphine Gilbert, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by siblings, John Dickson, WillieMae Sye, Bill Dickson and Sanford Dickson.

Bernice touched the lives of everyone she met, leaving behind a multitude of cherished memories either spending quality time with family and friends, shopping and even traveling to see the world on family vacations.

The celebration of life for Bernice will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul C.M.E. Church.
