A private service for immediate family will be held to celebrate the life of Ms Annette Ruff, of  Warrenton, GA.

ANNETTE FICKLIN RUFF

In the early hours of  the morning of April 1, 2020, The Lord came, just as he promised and received Annette Ficklin Ruff unto himself that where he is there she may be also.

Annette Ficklin Ruff was born on May 11, 1965 at the Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, New York to the parentage of the late John Hudson and Iris Smith Ficklin. She was the youngest of 13 siblings.  Her April 1st flight from labor to reward was recorded by the University Hospital Health Care System in McDuffie County.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Iris, and four of her siblings: 3 sisters: Geraldine Ficklin, Betty Jean Ficklin, Mattie Clara Ficklin Wingfield, and one brother John Hudson Ficklin, III.

Annette Joined the Millrock Baptist Church at an early age an actively served until her death. She was a devoted member in good standings. Her serving capacities included: Missionary Worker, Choir Director, Secretary of the Youth Ministry and Pastor Support Ministry. She was known for making her famous tea for Pastors and Preachers all over America. 

She attended the Warren County School System where she graduated with the class of 1984.  Over the years, she was employed at Health Tex Inc., Quality of Life Association for Warren County, Inc., Georgia Pacific, and served the last 18 years and 6 months of her life working at Advance Auto Distribution Center in Thomson Georgia.

Annette Ficklin Ruff was born an anointed songbird. She sang praises to the Lord every day of her life.  She sang in her home all alone, in a crowd or wherever she found herself.  She loved singing in the Spirit. She was also one of the world’s greatest grandmothers.  She served as mother and Grandma.to her 3 grandchildren whom she treated as her little angels. She was a very hard worker and worked endlessly to ensure that they receive the best care she could give.   Her hobbies included being a Mary Kay Consultant and volunteering with Family Connection and the Warren County Circle of Care Cancer support team.  She loved contributing to her community and serving God’s people.  Our last very memorable moment with Annette was in her last service at church she sang and testified “I Stepped Out.  She sang so spiritually, “I gave up this world to follow Jesus, and I turned from all my wicked ways and I stepped out on his promise.  Everything I have is his today.” What  a wonderful memory!

She leaves to Celebrate her life and cherish her memories one daughter Denetra M. Kendrick, her three grandchildren: Key”Mia Kendrick, Key’Mori Kendrick, and Key’Moni Kendrick.  Seven Sisters: Annie R. Dawson, Pauline (James) Wilson, Minister Emma (Kenneth) Sinkfield, Iris (Johnny) Bray, Catherine Hudson, Marlene Hudson, Gloria (Pastor Lyndon) Heath, one  brother Douglas “Butch” (Julie) Ficklin all of Warren County, Georgia.  Three Aunts: Sarah Smith, Brunswick Georgia, Katherine Bradley-Ken Texas, and Illean Farham– Palo Alto California.  Devoted friends Marie Evans, Bea Davis, Arlene Usry and Burnestine & Morris Evans.  A host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Millrock Church Family.
